Biography
Lindsey Tucker is a native Idahoan, currently living in Missoula, Montana, where she recently completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts in ceramics and photography and a Bachelor of Arts in anthropology. Previously, she studied jewelry making and contemporary Mexican art history at ITESO (Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente) in Jalisco, Mexico, as well as sculpture at Idaho State University, in Pocatello, Idaho. While in Pocatello, she curated First Friday Art Walk shows for the Pocatello Co-op. Her interest in art and culture has also taken her on an art history tour of France and Spain and to Iwamizawa, Hokkaido, Japan as a delegate for Sister City Cultural Exchange. In Japan, she took various classes on traditional Japanese arts, such as pottery and calligraphy. Many of her artworks incorporate influences from these experiences as well as her current interactions with the Montana wilderness.
